Capes - Arklight

Capes is the psychedelic trance act of Ruan Capes, born and raised in Cape Town. He grew up having a passion for psychedelic trance and its various sub-genres, and as a result was DJ'ing from a young age. Soon after he started producing his own music and learning the ins and outs of sound engineering, quickly allowing him to perform all around the city at a number of clubs and outdoor festivals, sharing the stage with countless local and international artists of the highest calibre.

His music consists of driving basslines, uplifting atmospheric elements, groovy effects and dark twilight leads, a journey through sound that will take you on a psychedelic adventure through musical clarity.

He now delivers his debut artist EP entitled Stereotypes, a concept of sound that explores the modern idea of stereotypes on electronic dance floors all over the world. Featuring 4 high octane tracks, an exploration into a melodic, powerful journey that will leave you wanting for more, a definitive piece of psychedelic music for the modern day listener...
