    “Dasein” shows its presence by transcending 160BPM music.

    It is amazing to see how Chicago Footwork has spread around the world over the years and how artists are transcending the genre into their own unique 160BPM works of art. Qetsy does this in his EP “Dasein” by sampling cult classic films, organic worldly instruments and mashing them with Dub Electronica sounds and the 160BPM drum patterns we know and love.

    Encarnación, Paraguay, is not typically a place to find Footwork influenced music but thanks to Qesty, we now know there are revolutionary waves being made in South America. The word Dasein is a German word that means "being there" or "presence" (German: da "there"; sein "being"), and is often translated into English with the word "existence", so “Dasein” is a perfect fit for this release!
