Sonic Dust Ft. Ratsouk - In This Room (Lebedev (RU) Remix)

We welcome Italian DJ and producer duo Gerry Albano and Fabrizio Cusumano aka Sonic Dust back to Piston Recordings, alongside Ratsouk, with the superb, In This Room. The guys got together a few years ago with a view to create a project, based on continuous research and experimentation in sound, characterized by 90's underground atmospheres. If you have a look at their release count to date, you'll see that they are fulfilling their mission and leaving us in awe in their wake. Great to have them back. Ratsouk and Sonic Dust are no strangers to each other, they have worked together on a few projects already, with outstanding results.

Kicking off the release we have the Original Mix, a super smooth, deep and lush slice of house music. Warm and inviting, the groove flows beautifully. Ratsouk's vocal is the icing on the cake, mysterious and sultry, simply sublime. Col Lawton is back at Piston on remix duties, following up from his last effort on Rogerio Martins' Vale, which was the labels 600th release. Here, he beefs up the original with a vibrant display of solid beats, mesmerizing chords and bright pianos. The vocal is used beautifully, adding character to the groove. Rounding out the release, we welcome Lebedev (RU) back to the label on the remix. We last saw him in the Summer of 2020 with a solid remix on Timeo & Lim Nylon's 70 Things. A stalwart for us over the years, it's always a pleasure having him here. This time around he's taken us down the rabbit hole of deep house. Mind-bending, trippy sequences fill the spectrum as rhythmic beats lead us to the floor. The vocal ups the ante, working effortlessly with the warmth of the track. A top-notch joint that is not to be missed.
