"Smoke Rings / Almost There" is a double single by me, russian-based producer and singer-songwriter Roman Vendy. It marks my first music release in almost 2 years. I needed some time for myself and such self-indulgence lead me to invest more time in exploring electronic dance music from the youths of the 90s, which i've already adored but this time dared to try to claim it mine.
The first song "Smoke Rings" is hazy and psychedelic yet energetic and pulsating with a meticulous attention to details and the sounds of percussions. It is sort of preparation for the second half of journey. "Almost There" is a dirty reign of trance at its finest: gloomy and overpowering bass, deafening tambourines, claps, hi hats and some classic piano chords to bliss you and lead you to carefree state of mind.
