"Afterlife" by satuko and akiko! is an alternative rock track, going under "shoegaze" sub-genre.
However, unlike other "shoegaze" tracks it has way more agressive mix. Combination of artists only sharpens the sound of the beat - first part, performed by the artist "satuko" is slightly softer and has sadder sounding than the "akiko!" part. Back to back, akiko! makes his part sound more fierce and emotional, making the contrast between the two parts of the track.
At the end, the artists swap their voices mid-track, which makes them sound merged in unison.
