The debut single “Endless Cosmic Night” by the galactic darkwave band Voidflowers is inspired by Ray Bradbury’s story “Night Meeting” — a tale of a man from the future and a Martian from the past who, for a brief moment, see each other on the same road.
To each of them, the other appears as a ghost, a vision, a reflection of a vanished time.
And yet that instant remains — like a trace of light on the retina, a memory of something that could never have been.
“Endless Cosmic Night” is the moment when worlds cross.
All that is present has already happened once before, and everything lost still lives on somewhere, in another time.
When the darkness feels endless, someone is still reaching out to you through it.
