Known under his artist name, SIDDHI KID ["city-kid”], Brayden Pierce’s blend of electronic soul is proving to be defiantly experimental while still celebrating pop structure/melody. The Los Angeles artist’s producing/mixing skills developed while working with DJ James Kennedy and Grammy-nominated Pawel Sek (Empire of the Sun, Taylor Swift, Kanye West). Building upon his recent number one collaboration on Monstercat Records (lauded as: "vocals that are the cherry on top of a masterful tune" -By The Wavs), his debut original single, “Deep In You” was released in Summer 2017 with a great deal of buzz. The track was highlighted by Noiseporn as "a dance floor-ready jam ... style is the key word", included on Spotify playlists emitting cloet to a million plays and a music video feature on Vevo (alongside Flume, AlunaGeorge, Calvin Harris). In Fall 2017, SIDDHI KID released "Savage", a wild-and-free infectious dance groove with old-school house and future sounds. His first original release of 2018, "Soak", is a soulful, binaural journey about being awakened and choosing to dive into society soaking up all the experience life has to offer.
SIDDHI KID derives from the ancient Sanskrit word “siddhi,” meaning “supernatural powers attained from spiritual enlightenment through meditation” and “kid,” a Felini-inspired reminder to “never lose your childish enthusiasm.” After several incarnations of bands, The St. Louis, Missouri-born Croatian/Indian artist began in 2013 as the frontman of alternative dream rock band, KINGDØMS (kingdomsmusic.com). They built a strong grassroots fanbase through live shows and local festivals, and in one year’s time started selling out SoCal venues alongside such acts as Imagine Dragons, Azalea Banks, Lena Feyre, Magic Giant, Magic Bronson, Slugs. During the band’s hiatus, SIDDHI KID accumulated a healthy number of songs (all written, performed, produced, mixed by himself), and is sharing pieces of his upcoming album, Animalism - a journey playing on the question of what defines us as humans?
