At Afrocentric Records we thrive on discovering new talent . Cyberkiing &
Durbanroot were brought to our attention by one of our SA scouts. These two young men have a bright future ahead of them as we at Afrocentric Records are only too happy to give them a platform and enable them to share their sound with the world. Currently getting a lot of attention for their remix of TNS My Dali. This is their debut release on the label.
Two cuts of Afro House which epitomize the Durban Sound. First up is the lead track Last Samurai. Built around a heavy hitting snare and manic shaker, with a sprinkling of deep synths this is what we call a “chugger” that keeps your ear open for for the tracks full 6 minutes duration.
Next up is Ubuntu (meaning "I am because we are,” in Zulu) . This take the vide down a notch or to with its swirling dark synth lines, sharp as a knife hi hat, and their own take on the “Bike” sound made famous by Kususa. A lot darker than Last Samurai but just as dance floor friendly
