The song, Lowah L’Ami, is a song written in English and Mokpe (the language of the Bakwerri people). This song speaks of the goodness of God. A couple of years ago, the pastor of PC Bokwai and I organized a praise and worship program in Bokwai village and I wanted to write a simple song in the language of the people with which we could together lift up a sacrifice of praise to God in their own tongue. Today, the song means more to me and I hope to you too; in the midst of the storms overwhelming the North West and South West Regions, it is in the little things which might have been insignificant at other times that I have seen the value and worth of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. These past couple of years have been challenging for many Cameroonians and life in itself is not always a bed of roses; and through it all, I can still say that God is good to me. Geni has succeeded in bringing together her passion and reverence for God, and her love for music into a worship experience - just the kind of mix those who like Contemporary Gospel music are looking for.
“Lowah L’Ami” was recorded in Buea; Cameroon and mixed & mastered by Gwanmesia Timothy Ngale and Emile Ngumbah, at M1 Studios.
