High Fiction is an indie rock duo based in Denver, Colorado, consisting of Gary Grundei and Amy Shelley. Both musicians draw from their eclectic backgrounds as professional musicians; blending rock, jazz, funk, Brazilian, musical theater, and classical music to create pop tunes with distinctive shape, layers, and compelling storytelling. High Fiction is known for curating unique events that are part concert, part community gatherings, simultaneously entertaining and magical, theatrical and introspective. Gary plays keyboards, various other miscellaneous instruments and sings with a voice that both draws you in and breaks your heart. Amy plays drums, sings and adds odd instruments that you might find at your grandfather’s favorite thrift store.
