" Kaperka " = " Butterfly "

Kaperka creates electronic age music with driving rhythms. Some tracks have an even harder edge. The word "Kaperka" means "Butterfly" in Sranan Tongo a language from Suriname. Just as butterflies come in various shapes and forms, the music of Kaperka comes in various genres and styles.

Simplicity is the key ingredient to all forms of complexity.
Expressing it in music. Love science, philosophy and life.


We found four of our tracks on a floppy disc and we would like you to hear them. They were created somewhere between 1998 and 2001 on a Yamaha EX5 Synthesizer Workstation.
Around that period, that was the only synth we used. The track names are the original codenames of the songs.

In 2001 we got our first computer and started using DAWs to create music. Let us know if you want to hear more and subscribe to the mailing list at the Kaperka website.
