In May of 2020, I decided to do something during the Covid-isolation, beyond just sitting in front of the TV or dreaming about future shows…I rang my friend Dean from 3kStatic, who I had made a previous album with in the mid 2000’s (Cotes d’Amor) with Tedd T (Mutemath)…We agreed to make an a poetry/protest album together within the sphere of social distancing. I had the songs and lyrics, Dean had the expertise in the electronic/avant-garde techno world to put this strange hybrid-idea together. Within two weeks we had fleshed out my thoughts about 2020, this country, its politics and its deadly flaws. Instead of creating another poetry album, we made a sexy spoken word fusion…we made the impossible…a poetry-dance album. I’ve made something similar in the past with Adrian Belew (RavenSongs 101) but Radio Teknika (Echoes From The Weirding Module) went a few steps further by including melodies as well as abstract noise. I don't know if we necessarily recreated the wheel here, but I challenge anyone to find anything like it within or without the industry.
