Chris Lorenzo breathes new life into Laidback Lukes legendary electro hit, Break Down The House. Bringing it back to 2008, the beloved weapon in Lukes catalogue historically marked the final era of an exciting exploratory period of house music, before the EDM heyday of the 2010s took over. With Chris Lorenzos treatment the underrated weapon from Lukes catalogue emerges more timeless than ever. Laidback Luke is a name that needs no introduction. As one of the most influential artists to emerge from late 2000s house music, the Dutch producer began his multi-faceted career in the early 90s, and cemented his place in music history with his chart-topping rework of the Robin S. classic, Show Me Love. Heads will know, though, that the bag always runs deeper than the radio hits when it comes to the real ones, and Break Down The House is the proof in Lukes case. With Chris Lorenzos remix of the heralded ID comes a symbolic passing of the torch for Luke, cementing his legacy status in the arena. Initially introduced over email, Lorenzo got his hands on the stems for the original, and tried to hash out his version in the same 4-hour fashion that Luke did back in the day. The end result is a nostalgic weapon that has, so far, only been in the hands of Chris Lake and FISHER, who debuted Lorenzos version during their b2b set at HARD Festival. At the intersection of two distinct eras in contemporary house music, Chris Lorenzo and Laidback Luke come together to deliver a monster record that ties together past, present, and future.
