Breaking a near 2 years silence, acclaimed electronic music explorer Lawrence Lui returns with ‘Isolation Loops ’, an EP of lo-fi ambient music inspired by his recent bout with Covid-19. A fever dream of unique tones and drones, the EP is also infused with doses of Autechre, 90s shoegaze, Suicide, Chris Watson field recordings, black metal tempos, early Steve Reich, lo fi house, ASMR youtube videos and Russian doomer music. The last track was actually recorded in the hospital, with minimal processing. At once life-affirming and haunting, ‘Isolation Loops’ is deep-dive head music for our uncertain times.

Recently signed to Symphonic Distribution, Lui has garnered nearly 4.5M streams and support in tastemaker outlets like Magnet Magazine, WFMU, Indie Shuffle, Nexus Radio, Big Shot Magazine.
