When she closes her eyes late at night, she secretly hopes to never wake up again. She knows the demons will be there every time she opens her eyes. They last heavy on her shoulders. There is no-one that would possibly understand her, no-one that wouldn't believe she all made it up just to get some attention.
These voices are constantly demanding, ringing out in her head like a tuning fork. While trying to take over the consciousness, she keeps fighting them and trying to not pass that thin line of sanity. Her upbringing and her social surroundings told her to ignore them. "Just snap out of it, fade them out and live", they said.
As if it was that easy. What do they know? They don't even know me at all. They don't even care for me. All they want is to be the one that makes me "whole" again and then be the hero of a sick and disconcerting society.
Time passes so slow for her. "Einstein was right, time varies and we all experience time differently. It's like I'm the one standing on a railroad platform while everybody passes me by in a fast train", she thinks.
Sometime it feels like she is that unwanted burden of the society. Her friends quit on her long time ago. She calls doctors and nurses her friends, as they are her only constant in life.
She got tired. She is tired of that everlasting fight against the voices in her head. Those voices that shouldn't be there. Voices, she figured out by the tender age of 7 years, no-one else has to deal with but her.
She breathes in the warm summer air, points her face up to the sky, spreads her arms out like wings and lets go.
