“Traviesa” is El Salvador and Ecuador-rooted SHELL X’s debut single, with agile, quick-witted verses landing over a driving, bass-heavy beat produced by Vermilion Bird, who hails from Argentina. Reminiscent of reggaetón’s earlier, Daddy Yankee-powered days, the track skillfully balances melodies programmed with classical orchestral instruments and perreo sample packs.
