We welcome Zimbabwe native Skavia back for his third release on the label. To say he is the leading and most innovative producer in Zimbabwe would be an understatement winner of a number of music awards we are extremely pleased to welcome him back.
This release is 3 cuts which cross the gamut of the Afro House sound.
First up we have Baleka featuring Paulla Paloma . A stomping kick, subtle percus- sion and heart wrenching keys held together by Paulla exquisite vocals. Topped of with not one but two old skool style breakdowns, this is simply a beautiful song. Make special by Paulla alluring vocal range
The second cut Time to wait is a straight up Afro Soul gem featuring newcomer Joy on vocals this as soulful as you can get a proper song with meaningful vocals held together with Skavia’s understated but thoughtful production.
To top the package we venture into pure deep afro territory with a banger produced with stuttering keys delicate percussion swirling strings and Kwabaraty catchy vocals stabs
All in all another outstanding package from Skavia which further cements his position as the go to producer in Zimbabwe
About Skaiva
2015 Zimbabwe Music Award winner Skaiva's career has been on the rise since 2011 when he signed to the legendary label Soul Kandi in South African , with his hit Day Dreamer opening doors for him across the Diaspora .
He has collaborated with well known Zimbabwean artist such as Willis Wataffi and Khuxxman , as well as releases on Peng Records.
He has been nominated for the prestigious Metro Fm award in 2014 with his gospel house hit “Sweet Jesus”.
He played at the KALAWA Homecoming stage for two consecutive years, has opened for top Djs such Black Coffee, Black Motion, Oskido ,Dj Fresh, Dj Tira, and big artist such as Cassper Nyovest, Aka, Winky D, and others. He is recognised as one of the leading DJ's in Zimbabwe
