British peak-time House Music connoisseur, Soul Avengerz (aka Paul Gardner), joins forces with US vocal legend, Adeva, on a potent remake of her 1989 House classic with Paul Simpson, ‘Musical Freedom’, for Fool’s Paradise. Having re-recorded all the vocals, Adeva belts out a dazzling new version of one of house music’s most iconic songs. Retaining a dash of nostalgia, whilst propelling the song onto 2023’s dancefloors with a bang, Soul Avengerz delivers an uplifting piano house soundtrack loaded with brass, string stabs and bumping beats to ramp up the hedonistic vibes on this much loved classic.
Paul Gardner has been an integral part of the London house scene for several decades. No one does peak time floor fillers better than Soul Avengerz. He has worked with and remixed some of the best names in the biz including Marshall Jefferson, Queen, Axwell, Inaya Day, Nightcrawlers, George Benson, Kaskade, Beyonce, Blondie, Alison Limerick, Shapeshifters, Joey Negro, Katherine Ellis, Roland Clark, Sterling Void and Krysten Cummings, to name but a few. And his work has graced major and key dance music labels including CR2, Positiva, Ministry of Sound, Big Love, Black Riot, Manifesto, Sony BMG, Hed Kandi, Trois Garçon, Milk&Sugar, Universal and Strictly Rhythm, among others.
Adeva has one of the most iconic soulful voices in dance. She has been a hugely successful artist since the very beginnings of House Music in the late 80’s and through the 90’s and 2000’s. Her rich musical career boasts an abundance of albums and chart hit singles including, ‘Respect’, ‘I Thank You’, ‘Musical Freedom’ and ‘In and Out of My Life’, along with ‘Too Many Fish’ and ‘Whadda U Want (From Me)’ with Frankie Knuckles, among many more.
