Mindspring Music Presents: Tea Tree - Chasm [MSM084]

Dedicated to cultivating delicious beats, Tea Tree has been releasing music since 2010, formerly under the name Kwah. This project is intended to explore the lower end of the tempo spectrum. It’s a mixture of dub and tech styles, pulled together with strong melodic elements. Chasm, the title of this new adventure, was consciously created so the music would act as a path to psychological healing - through the act of creating and consuming music we can exorcise our darkest thoughts and arrive at a place of harmony. Rory, has indeed felt healing effects upon finishing this body of work. A feeling of levity was very palpable and the release was cathartic. The flow of this album tells the story of his triumph over those ups and downs, with the keys, and mood, recalling those experiences. Through this candid album, we can traverse this aural landscape through light and shadow. He shares this work in hopes that others can shed the weight that may be holding them down, as well. Navigating this world can be trying, but we must remember that there are those that walk beside us who are more than willing to lend support - which comes in many forms. No matter how deep the chasm seems, we are not alone.
